longest day

Today was another great day in the garden. With leaving early for work and getting home at 6:00 pm I still had plenty of time to walk around and enjoy today's blooms. From 2 inch daylily blooms to 8 inch blooms , each daylily has a unique appeal to it. Some days its hard to figure out which one is my favorite , most days it a toss up. Bertie Ferris is a orange self with a 2-1/2 bloom and its scape is 20 inches tall. It was hybridized by Winniford and makes a nice plant up by the front edge of a border. The daylily Contemplation has this large water mark with cream pink petals. The three pink blooms stand out with the lighter blooming daylilies in the background. Ill be looking forward to tomorrows blooms and rembering that the days are starting to get shorter.
