There are so many yellow daylilies that a lot of people think who needs another. Shade ,form ,size, height of scape , early ,mid or late blooming it always nice to have a diverse mix to extend the bloom season. This yellow self seedling no145 to me seams to have a quality of moving as its just standing still. This seedling will have a spot in my garden . Have a good day in the garden.

This is seedling 110 it has the diamond dusting and a nice blend of colors has ruffling around the petals this is what makes gardening worthwhile. There is always a feeling of luck to when a seedling impresses me, I would read about hybridizes who would plow over 20 thousand seedling after only picking out a few they liked.
There have been many average seedlings but also many that are just as fine as any garden store. The diversity of size, color and shape really make this a great hobby . The possibilities are endless. Go and enjoy you garden.

Garden surprise
Once in a while it pay to save some of volunteer plants which your not really sure of. This year in one of my pots out back it looked like a cucumber plant but i was not really sure if it was. I planted it the middle of my cucumber bridge which is made out of concrete wire. After a little while i could tell the leaves were just a little bigger and the flower blooms a lot bigger than the cucumbers . Now that I know it's not a cucumber but not quite sure what kind of gourd it is . I will watching to see how big it gets. Have fun gardening.

With much needed rain the flowers and grass will perk up and look even brighter. Its been a dry summer so far and the daylilies have shown how tough thy are by blooming even under less than ideal conditions. The bloom season is slowing down but the late bloomers are still sending up scapes. These daylilies show the triangle shape and the ones with the bright yellow throat's really catch the eye. Good gardening

being creative when taking pictures shows how some of the daylily flowers curl and how some stay flatter.Looking at a daylilys form is just as rewarding as color. There are so many combination's of each and I was lucky enough to grow some really nice seedling's. Check out all the angles and have some fun taking pictures of your favorite flowers. You never know what will be waiting to be capture by your camera. Have some fun out in the garden too.
